Dell G7 15
Dell is refreshing some of its mainstream gaming PCs today. Most notable is the G7 15 and G7 17, which are getting new designs. They both come with narrower bezels and an overall more modern look, similar to what we've seen from the Alienware lineup.
The laptops have new RGB lighting features, with a four-zone keyboard and optional chassis lighting, which you can see in the image above in the front. But that's not all, because pretty much everything has been stepped up here, including the internals. They come with Intel's new 10th-generation processors, right up to the octa-core Core i9-10980HK, which has boost clock speeds of up to 5.3GHz. For graphics, you can get up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070.
To keep it all cool, there's a dual-fan system in the rear corners to maintain performance during gameplay. But still, there's a Game Shift key that will turn on a "dynamic performance mode", jacking up the fans. And of course, if you get a K-series processor, you can overclock it.
The G7 15 and 17 will be available on June 29 and June 23, respectively, and will start at $1,429.99.
Dell G5 Desktop
Dell also introduced the new G5 Desktop. The G5 series is more entry-level than the G7 series, which is probably why Dell used an image with GTX graphics. It does, however, come with up an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER and up to an Intel Core i9-10900K.
The G5 Desktop is meant to be easy to set up and easy to upgrade. There are two thumbscrews on the back that let you remove the transparent side panel and access the internals, and for storage, you'll find a 3.5-inch bay and two 2.5-inch bays.
The G5 Desktop will be available on July 9, starting at $749.
There's one more thing. Dell teased a new design for its premium XPS Desktop. The company said that it will be part of the Nvidia RTX Studio program, as the XPS 17 already is. It says that it will offer "massive performance for powering creation, gaming and VR", and that's it. More information on the new XPS Desktop will arrive in July, and that's all we know for now.
