Games with Gold: Call of Cthulhu and Star Wars Battlefront are now free

Microsoft's Games with Gold promotion has returned for the second time in February with another wave of games as a bonus to all Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.

As per the original schedule, Call of Cthulhu for the Xbox One and Star Wars Battlefront for the Xbox 360 are now available to claim. Note that this is the classic version of Battlefront, and it is also available to claim and play natively on the Xbox One thanks to the Backward Compatibility program.

Use the links below to claim them directly to a Gold activated account, though they may not be active just yet outside the U.S.:

Call of Cthulhu (Xbox One)

1924. Private Investigator Pierce is sent to look into the tragic death of the Hawkins family on the isolated Darkwater Island. Soon enough, Pierce is pulled into a terrifying world of conspiracies, cultists, and cosmic horrors. Nothing is as it seems. Sanity is an irregular bedfellow, all too often replaced by whisperings in the dark. Strange creatures, weird science, and sinister cults dominate the Cthulhu Mythos, intent on realizing their mad schemes to bring about the end of everything.

Star Wars Battlefront (Xbox 360 and Xbox One)

Fight as a soldier on the front lines where every weapon and vehicle you see is yours. Take the Empire head on or crush the Rebellion – by yourself or with an army behind you!

For Xbox One owners who missed out on the previous Games with Gold promotion, there is still time to claim the racing title TT Isle of Man before it is replaced with another game on February 29.

Keep in mind that all Xbox 360 games claimed via Games with Gold promotions will keep being playable even if the Xbox Live Gold subscription is discontinued. However, claimed Xbox One games are only available for playing while the account is actively subscribed to Gold.
