HP is refreshing a bunch of its gaming products today, including a couple of new laptops and some peripherals. Headlining the announcement is the new OMEN 15, a premium gaming laptop that comes in its smallest footprint yet, using an IR thermopile sensor to maximize thermal efficiency in the small size. The whole product weighs in at about 5.4 pounds, depending on the model you get.
It comes with either Intel's Comet Lake H or AMD's Ryzen 4000 H processors, so you've got choice when it comes to CPU. For graphics, you can get it with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design. The 15.6-inch screen has a solid array of configurations as well. You can get it in OLED, UHD at 120Hz, or FHD up to 300Hz.
The OMEN 15 is available today, starting at $999.99. The Intel model is available at Best Buy and HP.com, and you can find the AMD model here.
And then there's the Pavilion Gaming 16, which is HP's first 16-inch gaming PC, promising to fit it in an almost-15-inch footprint with its micro-edge bezels. This one comes with Intel Comet Lake H with a screen that has FHD resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. For graphics, it's offered with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 with Max-Q Design. It will be available later this month, starting at $799.99.
As mentioned, there are also new peripherals, such as the OMEN Vector Mouse and OMEN Vector Essential Mouse. They support up to 16,000dpi and 7,200dpi, respectively, but the latter is meant to be more lightweight at 88g. The Vector Mouse and Vector Essential Mouse will be available this month, starting at $49.99 and $29.99, respectively.
HP is also introducing the X1000 Wireless Gaming Headset, with 7.1 virtual surround sound, thick ear pads, and more. If a headset isn't your thing, you can enjoy the Gaming Speakers X1000, which promises "explosive bass", RGB lighting, and more. The headset is coming in August for $99.99, and the speakers are also $99.99, but they'll be available in October.
Finally, HP is introducing the X24c Gaming Monitor, offering a 1500R curvature. It's a 24-inch Full HD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, support for AMD FreeSync, and more. It will be available in October for $249.99.
