The Microsoft Flight Simulator development team has been busy delivering bug fixing updates and roadmaps for the massively popular title as of late, but that's not all that Asobo Studio has been working on. During the Xbox at Tokyo Game Show event today, the Japan World Update for Flight Simulator was officially announced. Catch the scenic trailer above.
The free injection of content will be the first content update – dubbed World Update I: Japan – incoming to Flight Simulator. It is delivering an "upgraded digital elevation map" of the country alongside photo-realistic representations of the cities Sendai, Takamatsu, Tokushima, Tokyo, Utsunomiya, and Yokohama using 3D photogrammetry.
Moreover, the Japanese airports Hachijojima, Kerama, Kushiro, Nagasaki, Shimojishima, and Suwanosejima are being upgraded to being handcrafted environments. There will be three new landing challenges situated at these Japanese airports also.
World Update I: Japan is incoming to all PC players of Microsoft Flight Simulator across Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox Game Pass for free on September 29, 2020.
